Folks who attend St. George’s Church aren’t members of a club!
We don’t pay dues. We have no initiation fee. More important, we seek to include, not exclude, others. We are disciples of Christ, and in this season we are asked to pledge a share of the financial blessings we’ve received – large or small – and thereby support our community and succor our souls.
Welcome to stewardship at St. George’s. It is a year-round ministry and it goes to the heart of what it means to be a Christian: We offer up a portion of the time, talent and treasure God has given each of us, and we do so with joy. As St. Paul explained in his letter to the new Christians at Corinth nearly two thousand years ago, “Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
A Message from Our Rector
Jesus said, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” We support what we value with our
time, talent and treasure. In some cases we send our money where we can’t go, such as relief funds for foreign disasters. But mostly we support things we’re actively engaged in.
St. George’s is a spiritual home for our members and an example of Christian witness and welcome to those who follow our work. This wonderful church is a place of worship, discovery, learning, care and fellowship. Investing your time, talent and treasure in God’s work here draws you deeper into the life of the Parish and even deeper into the mystery of God. Please make a pledge to St. George’s that reflects your heart’s commitment.
