St. George’s has a wonderful Easter tradition of inviting the congregation to come forward at the conclusion of the 10:30 AM service and join the choir in singing Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus. This year – our eighth – we’re adding something new by inviting the congregation to a special open rehearsal of the Hallelujah Chorus on Palm Sunday, March 29, following the 10:30 AM service.
The rehearsal will take place in the church from 12:15 to 1 PM. Light refreshments will be served prior to rehearsing, at 12 noon.
This is an opportunity to learn the Hallelujah Chorus with instruction from Choirmaster John Ayer and support from experienced choir members. It will also be great fellowship and lot of fun!
If you’ve been too intimidated to try singing the Hallelujah Chorus before now, we hope you’ll give a try. The choir eagerly looks forward to welcoming you and working with you.
