February is Black History Month

The Absalom Jones committee on Black History and Culture has events planned in honor of Black History month. 

February 3, 2019 
Following the 10:30 AM Service on February 3, 2019, The Absalom Jones Committee for Black History and Culture will visit the New York Historical Society to view the exhibit "Black Citizenship in the Age of Jim Crow." The group will leave St. George's immediately following the coffee hour, via car pool (if via train, the first train after the noon hour). 

The cost for is $25 for individuals, $20 for seniors, $17 for children of High school age and $10.00 for children below that age. The cost will include a guided tour (a docent). admission to the exhibit, a brief film on the exhibit and a 10% discount to the Museum Shop.

The AJC committee will observe Absalom Jones Day by hosting the coffee hour following the 10:30 service and an adult forum to discuss the Black Citizenship exhibit.

February 17, 2019
